Meet Jennifer Senekal (Jenna): A Passionate and Creative Educator at Lekker Land

We are delighted to introduce Jennifer Senekal, affectionately known as Jenna, to the Lekker Land family. With four years of experience in early childhood education and a genuine love for nurturing young minds, Jenna brings energy, creativity, and passion to our classrooms.
A Commitment to Educational Growth
Jenna holds an Early Childhood Education NQF 4 diploma and a variety of "Play to Learn" certificates, ensuring her approach to education is rooted in child development best practices. Her knowledge of guiding children from birth to Grade R gives her a strong foundation in understanding how to help each child reach their full potential.
Guiding Children with Care and Discipline
At Lekker Land, Jenna’s teaching philosophy centers on providing guidance and discipline in a way that allows children to flourish. She believes in nurturing a positive attitude toward learning, encouraging confidence, and instilling pride in their achievements. Her goal is to help mold and shape young learners so that they can thrive both academically and personally.
Inspiring Creativity Through Art
Jenna’s favorite classroom activity is creative art, where she loves watching children express themselves through painting and crafting. As a highly creative person, her enthusiasm for the arts inspires her students to explore their imaginations and develop their motor skills. Jenna’s artistic skills extend beyond the classroom—she is a South African dance champion (2013-2015), mastering different dance genres, which adds a unique and vibrant element to her teaching style.

Jenna joined Lekker Land with a vision: to be part of the preschool’s journey from the very beginning and contribute to its growth. Her dedication to the school and her commitment to helping the children reach their milestones is evident in her work.

What Jenna enjoys most about working with children is the ability to help shape them into confident, capable individuals. She actively communicates with parents, ensuring they are informed and involved in their child’s progress at Lekker Land.
Languages Spoken: Afrikaans and English
Jenna is fluent in both Afrikaans and English, which helps her engage and communicate effectively with all children and parents in our diverse community.
Fun Fact: Dancing Queen
Outside of her teaching, Jenna is a fantastic dancer and was crowned South African dance champion for three consecutive years. Her love for dance translates into a dynamic classroom where movement and creativity often come together.
